专门用途英语（ESP）是指为满足特定领域或特定需求而设计的英语。通过梳理高等职业院校船舶电子电气技术专业中电子电气员英语的培养目标、教学内容与知识特点，并深入分析其课堂教学现状，归纳出当前教学过程中存在的主要问题，在此基础上，整理分析国内外专门用途英语（ESP）理论的研究成果及其在教学中的应用，结合课程的专业特点与岗位需求，探索契合专业培养目标的教学模式，旨在提升电子电气员英语课程的教学效果从而提高学生的实践应用能力。

English for Specific Purposes(ESP) refers to English designed to meet the needs of specific fields or purposes. This paper reviews the training objectives, teaching content,and knowledge characteristics of English for Electro-Technical Officers(ETOs) in the marine Electro-Electrical technology programs at vocational colleges. It further analyzes the current state of classroom teaching and identifies key issues that exist in the teaching process. On this basis, it synthesizes domestic and international research findings on ESP theory, as well as their applications in teaching practice. Taking into account the professional nature of the course and the requirements of related job positions, the study explores teaching models that align with professional training objectives, with the aim of enhancing the teaching effectiveness of ETO English courses and improving students' practical language application skills.
